Strikingly different from the east coast, the Pacific Northwest sparkles in the setting sun and is green everywhere. Join us as we explore Seattle and Victoria, British Columbia.  Our trip begins in Seattle, where we will experience the waterfront, and go to the famous Pike Place Market. While in Seattle area we will visit Mt. Rainier National Park. From Seattle we will travel by ferry to Victoria where we will visit gardens and have tea at the Empress Hotel. Come see what all the fuss is about. We love visiting Seattle and Victoria and know you will too!

Sunday, September 12 - Arrival, Welcome Reception

Arrive Seattle no later than 4:00pm. The tour begins at 6:00pm at the hotel with a welcome reception and group meeting. Overnight Mayflower Park Hotel (Welcome Reception)

 

Monday, September 13 - City Tour, Free Time

We will begin the day with a city tour highlighting all the beauty of Seattle including Discovery Park, the Seattle Space Needle and waterfront. The tour will conclude at the world famous "Pike Place Market" where the remainder of the day is free. The WTT tour Leader will have many suggestions for enjoying your afternoon in Seattle.  (B)

 

Tuesday, September 14 -Day Trip to Mount Rainier  

Today we will depart for a day trip to Mount Rainier, a national park located about 1 hour Southwest of Seattle. Here the elevation increases and the alpine valleys, waterfalls and glacier capped mountain comes into view. It is a lovely day you will not soon forget. We return to Seattle around 6:30pm where the evening is free giving you the opportunity to find a new, favorite restaurant in Seattle. (B,L)

 

Wednesday, September 15: Victoria Clipper to Victoria, British Columbia, City Tour and Butchart Gardens

We have an early morning departure via the Victoria Clipper that gets us into Victoria at 10:30am. A gourmet Breakfast box is included onboard. Upon arrival in Victoria we board our waiting coach for a city tour and a visit to Butchart Gardens. These gardens began from one woman's desire to beautify the land left scarred by an open pit limestone quarry. The gardens have been owned, tended and expanded since 1904 by the same family. They encompass over 55 acres of beauty. We conclude our day at Queen Victoria Hotel. (B) 

 

Thursday, September 16 - Victoria at Leisure and High Tea at the Empress Hotel

Today is yours to enjoy Victoria at your leisure before we meet for afternoon high tea at the Empress Hotel. Afternoon tea at the Empress Hotel is a real treat and one you will thoroughly enjoy. Afterwards, enjoy everything British as you stroll around the town before calling it a day (B, High Tea)

 

Friday, September 17 - Return to Seattle

This morning is yours to sleep in a little before we transfer from the hotel to the ferry to return to Seattle. We depart Victoria at 11:30am and arrive back in Seattle around 2:15pm. A light lunch basket onboard is included. After transferring back to our hotel we have some time to freshen up before having dinner together to celebrate our time in the Pacific Northwest. Saturday, September 18 - Return Home

Schedule flights at your convenience.  The WTT tour leader will assist in coordinating ride-shares to the airport.  (B)
